ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Tracy
WHERE I COME FROM
I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of a construction worker and a stay-at-home mom. I grew up in Oshkosh where I was awarded a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in education. Unable to afford to live on a teacher salary, I went into retail management and ultimately relocated to the Washington, DC area. I was married in 1981. My daughters were born in 1992 and 1998. My husband, at the time, struggled with mental health issues, and we were divorced soon after our second daughter was born. Even though I struggled as a single mom, I worked full time and returned to school earning my MBA from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA.
MY CAREER PATH
In 2010, I married my amazing husband, Jack. We were friends in high school in Oshkosh and we reconnected through our moms! I moved the kids, the dog and the cats to O’Fallon. MO where we live today. Since I have been in Missouri, I have worked in the HR field in various capacities including recruiting, employee relations, unemployment and workers compensation. I have served as the president of the Lewis & Clark SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) organization and the State Director of the State of Missouri SHRM. We are members of New Hope Presbyterian Church where I serve as an Elder and head of the Missions committee. I am active with the St Charles Democratic committee; I serve on the CAC, governance board and am a member of the LGBTQ and women’s caucus. With my background in education and human resources, I will be able to listen to your issues and grievances and help us to find resolutions. We need to move our home state, from the bottom of almost every ranking across the board, into a place where we can proudly say “Yes, Missouri is our home. Let us show you!”
